Polyamory requires above-average honesty and maturity but rewards with a wider and presumably stronger and more stable familial/communal unit. Imagine if one's spouse was dying of cancer and one could be comforted and supported by yet another spouse during such a difficult time of transition. Additionally, the one confronted with life's closure does not need to fear that he or she is leaving a loved one behind all alone.”
