Why do marriages tend to explode when they end? People decide to get married. The number of people is not important. Two, three, five, or more ? the mechanism is the same. At the wedding (handfasting or any formal joining ceremony), the people involved are in love and profess that love to the world. Yet if you come back in a few years, far too many of these marriages (group or otherwise) are about to end. And they aren?t just falling apart. They are literally exploding. The marriage partners now hate each other. They are saying terrible things about each other. They are trying to cause their former partners as much pain as possible. They sometimes even use their children as pawns in this end-of-marriage war. Sound familiar? So how did the marriage go from a deep love to an even deeper hatred? Dr. Cirlin will tell you how.
