Hi, guys! I've been talking to the folks behind this production, and I thought y'all might want to know about it.

It's the stage version of The Ethical Slut, and it just opened at the Broom Street Theater in Madison, Wisconsin. Writer/director John Sable has created a live theater version of this poly classic, now playing at Madison?s Broom Street Theater, May 2-June 8, 2008.

The synopsis:

Carol and Chris are the typical middle-class urban couple. They?re married. They?re in love. The each have a girlfriend on the side. Adapted from ?The Ethical Slut? by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy, Multiple O tells the story of one couple?s mis-adventures as they learned how to create a healthy non-monogamous lifestyle the hard way - by making every mistake in the book.
This show contains significant amounts of nudity and sexual content. No one under 18 will be admitted.

I might could go for that, if we were to get a group together.

I'm also in the process of trying to invite them to come do the Chicago Poly Conference in March 2009. It might be worthwhile to go in person so that I can talk directly with the producer/director. Email can be difficult to answer questions on.

Sincerely,
Mary

It would be very very cool if the play was done as a part of the Chicago Poly Conference! It has apparently had very good reception in Madison, even if the critics aren't raving about it. I found this snippet on it at Practical Polyamory which claims they have had standing room only at the performances.

Would be willing to go, just not by myself. Since I live on the NW side of Chicago near O'Hare, anyone interested could meet at my place and we can go in together. Drop me a note if interested! TTFN

I doubt I'm going to make it to Madison, so it would be great if they performed it at the Poly Conference!
