Carob doesn't belong in the same category as chocolate, though I hear people can appreciate it for itself, not as a puny attempt as a chocolate substitute. :)

I agree that carob is different, but I wanted to take into account the preferences of a significant minority--some people do seem to think of it as a chocolate substitute. For myself, I chose Dark Chocolate.
