This isn't really a "Meetup group". poly-boston has been around since before meetup, and most people who attend poly-boston socials or discussions are not Meetup members. I put this group on Meetup to make it easier for poly people who are Meetup members to find poly-boston, and as a convenient way of sending out reminders of our regular socials.

If you come to one of our socials, remember that most people there are not aware of Meetup. If you don't know anyone, it may be helpful to introduce yourself on the email list or LJ community first, or if you're outgoing, just come and observe and meet people.
